It was, I wouldnt say discouraged, but it never got into the dialogue of Im going to do this for self-advancement. Its always Do it. Self-advancement would come, but the reason why you should be doing things is for others. Im in a field where accumulation of knowledge and experience in difficult situations make you well suited to play a very special role. But I loved every aspect of medicine. Dr. Anthony S.
